Delivery, Returns & Info
We endeavour to photograph all artworks as accurately as possible but please be aware that they may look slightly different depending on light conditions and your screen display. All measurements are in centimetres - height x width x depth or diameter. Please note that all artworks are individually handmade and may have slight variations which are indicative of the handmade process.
All our prints are original, handmade, limited edition prints and are sold unframed (with the exception of a few which are mounted, as stated in the description). They are titled, numbered and signed in pencil by the artist (with the exception of a few from the estate of the late Karolina Larusdottir). We do not sell reproduction or giclee prints.
The greatest care has been taken with all information, descriptions and prices but if we have made an error, we will correct it as soon as possible and the corrected information will apply.
We deliver throughout the UK using Royal Mail First Class Parcels, Royal Mail Guaranteed Next Day Delivery, Parcelforce 48 or by courier service for larger items.
Our packaging and postage charges are simple:
£5.50 for orders up to £50
£11.00 for orders over £50 - £150
FREE for orders over £150
FREE click & collect service available for all orders
Delivery charges will be added at checkout. We have worked hard to keep these charges as low as possible and we do not make any profit from our packaging and postage service.
Purchases Outside the UK
We are unable to process online sales outside of the UK at present. However, If you are based outside the UK and would like to purchase, please contact the gallery by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond with individually tailored pricing for shipping and VAT deductions (if appropriate). Payment can be made over the phone (and online invoices will also be available).
We aim to despatch your order within three working days. Those sent by Guaranteed Next Day Delivery should arrive the next working day and those by Royal Mail First Class Parcel, Parcelforce 48 or by courier service should arrive within two days of despatch. Unfortunately, we are unable to absolutely guarantee a delivery date as this is outwith our control. If your order unfortunately arrives when you are not available to receive it, contact the delivery company directly and they will re-arrange delivery at a convenient time.
Please be mindful that the Covid-19 situation may adversely affect delivery times.
With over twenty years experience, we are able to expertly pack your order using eco-friendly packaging and recycled materials whenever possible (including the re-use of previously used materials). Almost all of our packaging is paper-based and can be reused or recycled.
If you have changed your mind, or the artwork is unsuitable, and you wish to cancel, please keep the item and all the packaging and contact us immediately by email at email@example.com quoting your order number. Please do not return artworks to the gallery without contacting us first.
The UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, 2013, applying to online orders, give a legal right of 14 calendar days, from the day after you receive your goods, for you to cancel your order for whatever reason. Once cancelled you have a further 14 days to send the goods back to the gallery for a full refund (including outward delivery costs). You will need to return the artwork to the Castle Gallery in the same condition as we sent it and you will have to pay for the return delivery. We recommend using a signed for and insured service for your peace of mind. We reserve the right to make deductions for any artworks that arrive back in the gallery not in the same condition as sent.
If you decide to cancel your order before it is despatched, please contact us immediately to enable us to cancel the order on our system.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your artwork upon receipt and contact us immediately if there is a problem so that we can evaluate the issue and put it right. If, in the unlikely event, the artwork is damaged or faulty or you receive the wrong item, the Castle Gallery will pay for return delivery and arrange for a replacement or full refund (including outward delivery costs).
Click and collect customers have the same rights as online customers and it is advised to inspect your artwork upon collection.
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your returned artwork and let you know when a refund has been approved. If approved, you will be automatically refunded by your original payment method. We aim to pay refunds as soon as possible, and in any event, within 14 days of receiving returned items. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.
